Creek Clean-Ups
Held twice a year, volunteers come together to help clean the creek and keep the Ecosystem healthy.

FSLC Member, Donald Sampson, GRI Realtor / Notary |
FSLC member Donald Sampson displays some of the interesting items he retrieved from San Leandro Creek. Donald has been a great supporter of the Friends. Not only does he turn out for all Friends events, he also assists the organization in many different ways. We appreciate Donald!

Student volunteers |
Some of our high school volunteers comb the creek bed removing trash. Many student groups participate in our clean ups and receive certification for their hours of community service.

FSLC Founding Member, Pam Richards |
FSLC founding member Pam Richards spent some time touching up the mural "Nature’s Hidden Treasure", located under the East 14th Street Bridge at Root Park. Pam was one of the 100+ volunteers who spent over 2,300 hours painting the 19,500 square foot mural in 1998.

A Beautiful Butterfly |
A happy creek resident! Cleaning up San Leandro Creek helps to maintain the habitat for its native flora and fauna. Please help us with this effort! Our next clean up will be held Saturday, September 20, 2003.
